    Make your own thermocouples.
    Stranded Wire—Stranded wire is more flexible than solid wire.
    FEP Insulation—FEP insulation and jacket is abrasion and chemical resistant.
    Fiberglass Insulation—Fiberglass insulation and jacket is rated for higher temperatures than FEP and is highly chemical resistant.
    Polyimide Insulation—Polyimide insulation and jacket stands up to humid conditions and rapid temperature changes.
    Silica Insulation—Silica insulation and jacket resists continuous exposure to temperatures up to 1600° F.
    Ceramic Fiber Insulation—Ceramic fiber insulation and jacket withstands continuous exposure to temperatures up to 2200° F.

    Thermocouple Extension Wire

    Designed to carry thermocouple signals over longer distances than standard thermocouple wire, this extension wire lengthens existing thermocouple connections.
    Shielded—Shielded wire has a layer of foil that blocks signal interference from nearby equipment and devices. It has an uninsulated ground wire that is not counted in the number of wires.
    Stranded Wire—Stranded wire is flexible, so it’s pliable enough to be pulled around corners.
