Low-Strength Steel

With a tensile strength of 50,000 psi or 60,000 psi, these rods are often used to suspend light fixtures, cable trays, and conduit from ceilings. They're about half the strength of medium-strength steel rods. To avoid stripped threads during installation, make sure your nuts are also low-strength steel.

Metric Ultra-Precision Lead Screws and Nuts


	Style B

Operating with less backlash (play) than Metric Precision Acme Lead Screws and Nuts, these provide increased nut life and more reliable movement in automated systems. Also known as single-start and self-locking lead screws and nuts, they have a single thread that runs the length of the screw. The nut travels only when the screw turns, so your system won't unexpectedly move when the lead screw is at rest.
