    Retractable Tool Lanyards

Keep tools within reach when you need them and out of the way when you don’t—these lanyards retract to prevent snags and tangles. They meet ANSI/ISEA 121, which certifies that their design keeps your tool from falling and harming people and equipment below when you’re working at height. An extension lock on these lanyards keeps it retracted until you’re ready to use it. To properly tether your tool, you’ll need an attachment point on your tool and an anchor point for your lanyard

Clip-on attachments are for long-necked tools with wide ends, such as wrenches, pry bars, and hammers. The end of your tool needs to be wider than where the attachment point rests, so it won’t slip off. Made of stainless steel, they resist corrosion and are more durable than other attachments. They may slide up and down the tool as you use them. Add threadlocker to the pin to prevent loosening over time.

Lanyards for hand tools are the standard option—they can be used on most tools in your toolbox.
Straight Lanyard—Straight lanyards have elastic in the webbing that stretches a little as you use your tool for ease of movement.
Coil Lanyard—Coil lanyards stretch to their full length and then return to their retracted length when you let go to prevent snags and tangles.
Wire Rope—Wire rope lanyards are more abrasion resistant than webbing lanyards. A rubber coating protects the stainless steel wire rope from corrosion.
