    Fabric Grommets

    Add a protective metal ring to a hole so rope and cable don’t tear your tarp, cover, or curtain. To install, strike a cutting punch with a mallet to create the hole, then set the grommet using either an installation punch or a press. All of these grommets can be used outdoors. Installation tools are sold separately.
    Standard Washer

    Brass—Add a bright finish to your fabric.
    Nickel-Plated Brass—The nickel gives these a more muted, silvery look than our plain brass grommets.
    Black-Oxide Brass—The matte black finish on these grommets limits glare and blends into dark fabrics.
    Aluminum—Keep large tarps and other surfaces lightweight where you're installing lots of grommets.
    Stainless Steel—Our most corrosion-resistant fabric grommets, they last the longest when exposed to sun, rain, dirt, and grease.

    Hammer-Driven Installation Punch—The economical choice if you’re installing a few grommets at a time. Align the grommet base, fabric, and washer on the die (included). A few sharp taps on the punch cinch the grommet in the hole. Use a rubber or rawhide mallet rather than a metal hammer to preserve the head of the punch.

    Snap-In Fabric Grommets

    The only fabric grommets we sell that don’t need setting tools. Just snap the two parts into a pre-cut hole. The grommets add a protective plastic ring to the hole so rope and cable don’t tear your tarp, cover, or curtain. They grip securely enough for most jobs, but for a stronger hold in high-strain applications, choose our metal grommets instead.
    Polycarbonate—Unlike polypropylene grommets, these grommets keep their strength and impact resistance at sub-freezing temperatures.
    Polypropylene—These withstand a wider range of chemicals than polycarbonate grommets, but they can't handle the same extreme temperatures.

    Save time installing grommets in tarps and covers without precut holes. Set grommets in a bench-mount manual press with die set, and the sharp neck of the grommet cuts the material as you press it into place. Installation tools are sold separately.
