Dual-Setpoint Electronic Vacuum Switches for Compressed Air

Image of Product. Front orientation. Vacuum Switches. Dual-Setpoint Electronic Vacuum Switches for Compressed Air.
Trigger two different processes in vacuum applications by sending signals to a programmable logic controller (PLC) when these switches reach one of their two set vacuums. Designed specifically for air systems, they can turn on a vacuum pump if the vacuum is too low or a valve if the vacuum is too high. Or use them to signal an alarm before switching off a pump. Check the vacuum on the display and change your setpoint, reset point, scaling, and other settings using the buttons.
Adjustable—An adjustable reset means you can control the amount of pressure change before the switch resets. This pressure difference is commonly referred to as deadband and differential. Choose anywhere within the setpoint range for your reset point.
IP65 Enclosure Rating—Rated IP65, these switches seal out dust and water from light rinses. They meet American, Canadian, and European safety standards since they’re UL and C-UL recognized components as well as CE marked.

    Pressure and Vacuum Switches

Image of Product. Front orientation. Pressure and Vacuum Switches. Pressure and Vacuum Switches.
Because these switches work with both positive and negative (vacuum) pressures, you can use them in applications that span both. For example, these switches can turn on a light when they reach the setpoint to indicate which pressure is flowing. They’re also often used to trigger automated controls and activate alarms. These switches are single pole, double throw (SPDT) and can either turn one circuit from off to on or from on to off.
NEMA 4X and IP66 rated, they’re dust tight and protected from washdowns and corrosion. All are UL and C-UL listed, CSA and CSA-US certified, and CE marked, so they meet U.S., Canadian, and European safety standards.

Pressure and Vacuum Transmitters with Digital Display

Monitor and control vacuum pumps, air compressors, and hydraulics while viewing readings and warnings on the display. These transmitters, also called transducers, have two outputs, so you can program them to work as a transmitter, a switch, or both. When they reach their setpoint, they send electrical signals to your programmable logic controller (PLC) to trigger actions in your system. Adjust their reset point anywhere within the setpoint range. To change settings and receive error messages remotely from your PLC or computer, program one of the outputs to use IO Link. You need an IO-Link controller (not included) to connect to your interface.
Buttons on the display let you change your setpoint, measuring range, and other settings. To quickly tell the status of your process, you can program the color of the display to red and green. LEDs on the corners also notify you of your output’s switching status. Rotate the head to view the display from the best angle.
You must calibrate your PLC in order for it to interpret signals from these transmitters. As pressure increases, the output signal from the transmitter will increase. These transmitters only give accurate readings within the rated pressure or vacuum range.
All have an M12 plug to connect to M12 Connectors. When using both switching outputs and an IO-Link controller, they require four wires to connect. For their 4-20mA analog output, they need two wires to connect. View switch wiring diagrams by selecting a part number and clicking Product Detail.
To withstand wet environments, these transmitters have a 316L stainless steel connection and are IP rated. Their IP ratings also mean they’re dust tight and stand up to spraying water and brief submersion. UL and C-UL listed as well as CE marked, they meet strict American, Canadian, and European safety standards.

Pressure and Vacuum Transmitters for Compressed Air

Image of Product. Front orientation. Pressure and Vacuum Transmitters. Pressure and Vacuum Transmitters for Compressed Air.
Specifically made for compressed air and gas systems, these transmitters remotely monitor pressure and vacuum. Also known as transducers, they convert both pressure and vacuum into an electrical signal that can be interpreted by receiving devices, such as remote displays, and motor speed controls. They also have two digital PNP switch outputs that you can connect to your programmable logic controller (PLC) to activate automated controls or alarms when a set pressure or vacuum is reached. Change settings with the buttons on the digital display.
For your receiving device to interpret the signal from the transmitter, you will need to calibrate it for the transmitter's pressure or vacuum range and output signal. As pressure increases, the output signal from the transmitter will increase. Transmitters will only provide accurate readings within the rated pressure or vacuum range.
UL and C-UL recognized components, CSA certified, and CE marked, they meet American, Canadian, and European safety standards.
    Wire Leads
4 mA to 20 mA Output Signal—Transmitters with 4 to 20 mA output signal connect using two wires. The same wire is used to send a signal to the receiver and to power the transmitter. Signal is not lost over long distances and isn’t affected by electrical interference from other devices.
1V DC to 5V DC Output Signal—Transmitters with 1 to 5V DC output signal connect using three wires. Two wires connect to the power supply, and a separate wire sends a signal to the receiver. The receiver and the transmitter share a common ground wire back to the power supply.

    Sanitary Pressure and Vacuum Switches

Image of Product. Front orientation. Pressure Switches. Sanitary Pressure and Vacuum Switches.
When these 3-A certified switches reach a set pressure or vacuum, they trigger controls and alarms in food-processing, pharmaceutical, and biotech lines. They have a sleeve to shield internal parts from water and contaminants. Their surfaces are polished and their seams are continuously welded, so cleaning is easy and there’s little room for bacteria to grow. Made of 316 stainless steel, these switches stand up to harsh cleaners and sanitizers without rusting. Rated IP67 and NEMA 6, they’re dust tight and protected from washdowns and temporary submersion.
They connect using the same quick-clamp fittings (also known as tri-clamp fittings) that are common in sanitary lines, because they’re easy to take apart for cleaning. This end has a diaphragm that protects from corrosion and covers threads to keep them clean. The diaphragm is filled with 99.5% pure USP food-grade glycerin, reducing the risk of contamination if the diaphragm fails. The serial number is laser etched on the diaphragm to reduce crevices.
Twist the adjustable setpoint ring to make quick changes. These switches are single pole, double throw (SPDT) and can be installed to turn one circuit from off to on (normally open) or from on to off (normally closed).
All have a material certificate with a traceable lot number and a calibration certificate traceable to NIST.

Dual-Setpoint Electronic Pressure and Vacuum Switches for Compressed Air

Image of Product. Front orientation. Pressure and Vacuum Switches. Dual-Setpoint Electronic Pressure and Vacuum Switches for Compressed Air.
With two setpoints, these switches trigger different actions in your air system by sending signals to a programmable logic controller (PLC) when they reach one of their set pressures or vacuums. For example, they can activate one light when a system is pressurized and another when it’s under vacuum. They have an adjustable reset, so you can control the amount of pressure change before the switch resets. This pressure difference is also called deadband or differential. Choose a reset point anywhere within the setpoint range.
Easily monitor your pressure or vacuum setpoint on the digital display. Use its buttons to adjust the settings and setpoint.
These switches are rated IP65 to seal out dust and water from light rinses. They’re CE marked, UL and C-UL recognized components, and CSA certified to meet American, Canadian, and European safety standards.
