Threaded Flow-Adjustment Valves with Fire-Fighting Hose Fittings
- Valve Type: Gate
- For Use With: Water
- Seal Material: Buna-N Rubber
Connect these valves to fire hydrants, fire pumps, and fire hoses to adjust the flow of water. Ideal for fighting fires, their internal gate allows unrestricted flow when fully open, unlike globe valves. However, you should only use these valves in emergencies when full flow is needed—they get damaged by throttling over time. They have a nonrising stem that stays in the same spot whether they’re open or closed.
Valves with a wheel handle take up less space than valves with a speed handle. The included hose cap protects them from dirt and debris. It’s connected to the valve with a chain, so you won’t lose it.
Valves with a speed handle can be turned with one hand, unlike valves with a wheel handle. Quickly connect the fittings to hydrants, pumps, and hoses with the easy-to-grip pin lugs on the sides. Tighten them with a hook-style spanner wrench. To prevent kinking when you’re connecting a hose, the fittings swivel until tightened. These valves are red so people know they’re fire valves.
Flow coefficient (Cv) is the amount of water (in gallons per minute) at 60° F that will flow through a fully open valve with a difference of 1 psi between the inlet and the outlet.

Diverting Valves with Fire-Fighting Hose Fittings

- Valve Type: Ball
- For Use With: Water
- Seal Material: Buna-N Rubber
Control the flow of water in two directions from a single source—these diverting valves have two balls and handles for independent operation of each outlet. They can direct flow to one side outlet at full capacity while shutting off flow to the second side outlet, direct flow to both side outlets at reduced capacity, or shut off flow to both side outlets. Valves have a brass body for good corrosion resistance. They are for use with fire-fighting hose.
Flow coefficient (Cv) is the amount of water (in gallons per minute) at 60° F that will flow through a fully open valve with a difference of 1 psi between the inlet and the outlet.
NH/NST (National Hose/National Standard) threads are only compatible with other NH/NST threads.
