    Vibration-Resistant Wedge Anchors for Concrete

Image of ProductInUse. Front orientation. Anchors. Vibration-Resistant Wedge Anchors for Concrete.
Image of Product. Front orientation. Contains Annotated. Anchors. Vibration-Resistant Wedge Anchors for Concrete.
Secure heavy machinery with constant motion, such as vibrating feeders and conveyors, in concrete floors. The wedges on the base of these anchors have ridges that lock them in place, so they won’t shake loose. Since the grip is focused at the base, these anchors are best suited for concrete, which can handle the gripping pressure better than softer block and brick. However, they require holes that match the anchors' diameter exactly to achieve their pull-out strength, making them more difficult to install than sleeve anchors.
To install, drive the anchor through your machinery into a drilled hole until the washer meets the surface. Use the notches along each side of the anchor to locate the wedges, directing the gripping forces away from seams and corners to prevent cracking the concrete. Then, tighten the nut to expand the base wedges. Remove your machinery by unfastening the nut, but the anchor itself cannot be removed.

    High-Strength Anchors for Concrete

Image of ProductInUse. Front orientation. Anchors. High-Strength Anchors for Concrete.
Image of Product. Front orientation. Contains Annotated. Anchors. High-Strength Anchors for Concrete.
Offering the highest pull-out strengths, adhesive grips the anchors' lobes and knurls to keep anchors from shaking loose. These anchors are often used to secure heavy machinery with jarring starts and stops, such as compressors and compactors.
To install, fill a clean, drilled hole half full of epoxy adhesive (sold separately). Thread a screw or threaded rod into the anchor and then slightly twist the anchor into the hole until it's flush with the surface. Then, hammer the head of the screw or rod a few times for a snug fit. All create a permanent female-threaded connection that lets you remove and reinstall a screw or threaded rod.
Zinc-Plated Steel—The most common choice for areas with occasional exposure to moisture.
Highly Corrosion-Resistant 316 Stainless Steel—Superior to 18-8 stainless steel, these anchors won't degrade when exposed to harsh weather, salt water, and most chemicals.

    Anchoring Adhesives

    Anchoring Adhesives for Concrete

Permanently set threaded rods, studs, and rebar in dry concrete with these two-part epoxies. They form a weather-resistant chemical bond that seals out moisture and resists vibration and dynamic loads better than mechanical anchors. These have two parts that must be mixed. The size listed is the combined total of the two parts. Warning: Allowable pull-out strength is 25% of ultimate values or less, as required by building authorities.

Adhesives in cartridges can also be used in damp concrete. Use a mixer nozzle and dispensing gun (dispensing gun sold separately) to simultaneously mix and dispense adhesive.

Bolt-Style Sleeve Anchors for Block and Brick

Remove the bolt so the anchor is flush with your walls and floors to slide components past these anchors, making it easier to install or make adjustments. They’re best for door frames that need to be pressed into place or machinery you service frequently. All have a sleeve that expands inside your hole to create a strong grip. Since the gripping force is distributed along the entire length of the anchor, it won’t crack soft materials like block and brick. You can use these anchors as an alternative to wedge anchors in concrete near edges, corners, or other weak points, but they are not as strong.
To install, drive the anchor through your component into a drilled hole until the head meets the surface. Then, tighten the bolt to expand the anchor sleeve. As you tighten, the nylon ring compresses to secure the component against the surface. You can remove the bolt, but the anchor itself cannot be removed.

Accessories and Replacements for Anchoring Adhesives

    Submersible Anchoring Adhesives for Concrete

When concrete is saturated with or submerged in water, use these epoxies to permanently set threaded rods, studs, and rebar. They form a weather-resistant chemical bond that seals out moisture and resists vibration and dynamic loads better than mechanical anchors. Warning: Allowable pull-out strength is 25% of ultimate values or less, as required by building authorities. Use a mixer nozzle and dispensing gun (dispensing gun sold separately) to simultaneously mix and dispense adhesive.

Structural Support Epoxies for Heavy Machinery

Image of ProductInUse. Front orientation. Surface Fillers. Structural Support Epoxies for Heavy Machinery.
Fill the void beneath motors, pumps, and other large machinery to create a structural support for your equipment. Also known as chocking epoxies, these epoxies replace traditional metal chocks, which often need to be machined. Mix these two-part epoxies and pour them in between your equipment and your base—they flow into every nook and cranny for a strong, long-lasting bond. As these epoxies cure, they won’t shrink. Designed to withstand demanding environments, these epoxies handle heavy loads, vibration, and chemicals without cracking. Especially good for harsh marine applications, you can use them when installing marine engines and deck-supported equipment, such as hoists and winches.

Keep heavy equipment from tipping during an earthquake. Rigorously tested for strength and durability, these straps are certified by the ICC (International Code Council) as able to withstand seismic forces. They come with anchor plates and hardware, so you can fasten them to a floor or other secure surface. Use a ratchet on the buckle to gradually increase the tension. Made from polyester webbing, these straps have minimal stretch, so your equipment won’t budge.
Warning: Never use for lifting applications.
