Tamper and Vibration Detection Paint

Easily detect vibration or tampering—this paint becomes brittle once dried and cracks from movement. Originally used in the aerospace industry, this paint won’t corrode and adheres to most surfaces, including all types of metal. It’s useful on screws, nuts, and bolts in assemblies with high vibration, such as gearboxes or conveyor lines. Or use it to check for vibration between mated parts, such as pipe fittings and pipe, by applying it directly to both parts.

To speed up drying and curing time, blow hot air on the paint or place the item you’re painting in a warm environment.

Fluorescent—Fluorescent paint is also visible in dark environments and under UV lights. UV lighting makes small cracks easier to spot.

1 min. Time to Harden—Paint that hardens in 1 minute quickly dries to the touch, so you can continue your work without interruption. It fully cures within 24 hours for reduced downtime—most formulas take 10 days to cure.

10 day Time to Cure—Paint that cures in 10 days will achieve 80% of its cure within the first 48 to 72 hours.

They send readings using Bluetooth, which you can review in the field or offsite.

Install the app on your device and create profiles for multiple pieces of equipment—once created, you won’t have to enter information each time you want to do a maintenance check. Based on your machine profiles, the app will set default alarm thresholds. It will also recommend courses of action.

Vibration Monitors

Dial display stethoscopes are commonly used in vehicles to help identify issues such as worn bearings, broken gear teeth, and wind and air leaks. Set their sensitivity to match your environment using the high/low switch. High sensitivity will better detect quiet sounds but might be too reactive in loud environments. Low sensitivity is a better choice for noisy environments, since loud sounds can damage your hearing when further amplified.

A user-friendly screen makes it easy to operate these stethoscopes with no special training. Volume levels are displayed both in digits and graphs so you can accurately compare across multiple measurements. Hazardous Location Vibration Switches

Get NEMA 4 and IP66 protection from dirt and water. These switches are rated for hazardous locations for Class I, Divisions 1 and 2, Groups C and D; and Class II, Divisions 1 and 2, Groups E, F, and G. If vibration or shock exceeds a set activation point, the contacts actuate to either shut down your machine or activate an alarm. Reset the switch with the push of a button. A built-in display makes it easy to view vibration levels, warnings, and the status of these switches. Vibration-Monitoring Kits

Keep machinery running smoothly by monitoring its health and status from your computer. Often used with electric motors, pumps, and lathes, these kits measure changes in vibration and temperature—identifying equipment problems and potential failures before they occur. Plug in the sensor, set your thresholds, and view data directly on your screen. You’ll also receive email notifications when vibrations move beyond your specified range, making them good for preventative maintenance. These sensors are 20 times faster than our other vibration monitors, and they don’t require devices such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to operate.

Sensors mount directly to your equipment. Use the magnetic base for quick installation, or use the threaded hole for a more permanent setup. Once the sensor is hooked up, you can either wire it directly to the receiver or connect it to the wireless transmitter to view data remotely.

USB Connection—Kits with a USB connection link only to your computer for direct and easy monitoring.

Power-Over-Ethernet—Kits with an Ethernet connection can be configured to a wider network, transmit data over longer runs of cable, and integrate into other automated systems, such as a PLC.
