Those with an emergency backup battery meet UL 924, which means they’ll stay lit for 90 minutes if the power goes out.

Style C lights produce light from channels along the edge of a ceiling tile for a modern look. They direct some light upward, which reflects off of the ceiling tile to reduce glare and eye strain. They’re most effective when used with a white ceiling. To install, snap the light together to form a frame. The frame rests inside the grid, so you can reinstall the original ceiling tile inside it for a finished look.

IC-rated lights safely dissipate heat, so you can mount them directly against insulation.
