    Clevis Pins with Wire Retainer

    Since you can quickly install and release the wire retainer, these pins cut down the time it takes to swap out parts. They are typically used to connect drive shafts to equipment such as gearboxes, pumps, and compressors. The retainer pivots to accommodate nearby components. Also known as power take-off (PTO) pins.

    Zinc-Plated Carbon Steel—These pins withstand occasional exposure to moisture. However, since friction from moving parts can wear away the finish, they're not ideal for wet environments. While not nearly as corrosion resistant as stainless steel, they are stronger and won’t deform under stress.
    Loop Closure with Easy-Release Tab—Grip the tab to open and close with less effort than other wire-retainer clevis pins. The tab sticks out from these pins, so they might catch if space is tight.

    Secure and release these heavy duty pins with one hand. Swing the welded solid steel retainer closed, and it locks onto the pin until you press the lever to open. Unlike other clevis pins, you don’t have to reach around to insert a cotter pin or worry about it falling out.     Tethered Loop-Grip Clevis Pins

    Lock and release components again and again without losing your cotter or linch pin. These clevis pins have a lanyard or chain that keeps your securing pin attached. The loop handle is large enough for multiple fingers, so you can get the leverage you need to easily grip and pull it. They’re often used for towing and other applications that require frequent pin removal.
