This wire rope won't spin or twist loads in the air. The outer strands twist in the opposite direction of the inner strands to keep loads stable when lifted or suspended. They're often used to lift and lower elevators without any unwanted movement.
Warning: Never use wire rope to lift people or items over people.
18-8 Stainless Steel—With solid stainless steel construction, this wire rope has no plating that could wear away. It resists rust, but it won't hold up to the harsh chemicals that 316 stainless steel can.
Wire Rope Construction— Independent Wire Rope Core (IWRC) is the strongest wire rope construction, but strand core rope is a durable alternative for lighter-duty applications.
Preformed—With each wire shaped into a spiral before being twisted onto the rope, they maintain their shape when cut. This keeps them from unraveling or poking equipment and users.
