Compare wire vs. cable and choose the right option based on gauge, number of conductors, insulation, and current rating.

    Power Cable

Image of Product. Front orientation. Power Cable.
Built for rough handling and frequent positioning, this cable delivers power you can count on. Use it for everything from extension cords to cords for hydraulic presses. Made to NEC Article 400 requirements, you can trust it to power whatever you need. Plus, the flexible jacket takes the struggle out of routing it through tight spaces and around machinery.

    No-Conduit-Required Control Cable

Image of Product. Front orientation. Control Cable. No-Conduit-Required Control Cable, Unshielded.

    Unshielded

Made to TC-ER (Tray Cable, Exposed Run) standards, this crush- and impact-resistant cable eliminates the cost and hassle of installing conduit. It’s ideal for exposed runs, such as from a cable tray down to a control panel or motor control box. Support it every six feet to prevent sagging. You can flex and bend this cable during installation and adjustments, but it isn't made for continuous motion.
Unshielded—Choose unshielded wires when electromagnetic interference (EMI) isn't a concern. Equipment such as motors and pumps may have voltage fluctuations and current spikes that distort signals.

    Continuous-Flex Power Cable

Image of Product. Side1 orientation. Power Cable. Continuous-Flex Power Cable, Unshielded.

    Unshielded

Power motors on moving gantries and cranes with this cable that flexes millions of times without breaking. It’s made for constant motion, with finely stranded conductors twisted like a rope to resist wear from bending.
