    Extra-Flexible Wire Rope for Lifting

Image of Product. 6 × 19 IWRC. Front orientation. Wire Rope. Extra-Flexible Wire Rope for Lifting, 6 × 19 IWRC Wire Rope.

    6 × 19 IWRC

Lift everything from heavy machinery to timber. With more than twice as many individual wires as standard wire rope, it bends easily without wear. Use it with cranes and hoists.
Warning: Never use wire rope to lift people or items over people.
Steel—Best for dry environments since moisture will cause this wire rope to rust.
Wire Rope Construction—Independent Wire Rope Core (IWRC) is the strongest wire rope construction.
Preformed—With each wire shaped into a spiral before being twisted onto the rope, they maintain their shape when cut. This keeps them from unraveling or poking equipment and users.

    18 × 7 IWRC

This wire rope won't spin or twist loads in the air. The outer strands twist in the opposite direction of the inner strands to keep loads stable when lifted or suspended. They're often used to lift and lower elevators without any unwanted movement.
Warning: Never use wire rope to lift people or items over people.
Steel—Best for dry environments since moisture will cause this wire rope to rust.
Wire Rope Construction— Independent Wire Rope Core (IWRC) is the strongest wire rope construction, but strand core rope is a durable alternative for lighter-duty applications.

    Tight-Tolerance Extra-High-Strength 7075 Aluminum Rods

Image of Product. Front orientation. Aluminum. Tight-Tolerance Extra-High-Strength 7075 Aluminum Rods.
When precision and yield strength are nonnegotiable, choose these 7075 aluminum rods. They’re ground to paper-thin tolerances for parts that require pinpoint precision. Held to a strict straightness tolerance, they’re all set to turn in your lathe.
7075 is one the strongest aluminum alloys, boasting a yield strength that rivals carbon steel rebar. Originally made for aircraft frames, it’s now turned into gears, machine keys, and other high-stress parts. It’s a good substitute for 2024 aluminum when forming and welding aren’t top concerns.

    Shock-Absorbing Wear-Resistant Rope—Not for Lifting

Image of Product. Front orientation. Rope. Shock-Absorbing Wear-Resistant Rope—Not for Lifting.
A braided nylon core protected by a braided cover makes this rope resistant to both wear and sudden forces, such as those found in towing applications and dock lines. The braided construction also prevents the rope from rotating under load. When wet, this rope can lose up to 20% of its strength. It resists rot.
Note: The safety factor for capacity is 12:1.
    Nylon Cover—Nylon-covered rope resists mildew.
Polyurethane-Coated Polyester Plastic Cover—Polyurethane-coated rope is good for high-friction applications since its coating gives it increased wear resistance.

Image of Product. Front orientation. Rope. Shock-Absorbing Easy-Splice Rope—Not for Lifting.
Made from nylon, this rope compensates for sudden force, such as in towing applications and dock lines. A polyurethane coating gives this rope wear resistance for high-friction applications. It’s braided with a hollow core, so it’s easier to splice than other rope when adding a fitting or connecting rope together. It doesn’t rotate under load.
Note: The safety factor for capacity is 12:1.

    Tight-Tolerance Highly Corrosion-Resistant 316 Stainless Steel Rods

Image of Product. Front orientation. Stainless Steel. Tight-Tolerance Highly Corrosion-Resistant 316 Stainless Steel Rods.
This material is precision ground to offer tighter tolerances than standard 316 stainless steel. Rods are held to a strict straightness tolerance, so they’re all set for turning in your lathe.
One of the most corrosion-resistant types of stainless steel, 316 stands up to the harshest chemicals, including bleach, chlorine, and phosphoric acid. It's a step up from 304, which has similar strength and temperature performance. Use it in a variety of marine and chemical-processing applications. It maintains its corrosion resistance in temperatures up to 1500° F.
316/316L Stainless Steel—Dual certified to meet both 316 and 316L requirements. The low carbon content makes this stainless steel easy to weld while maintaining strength and corrosion resistance.

Tight-Tolerance Machinable 303 Stainless Steel Rods

Image of Product. Front orientation. Stainless Steel. Tight-Tolerance Machinable 303 Stainless Steel Rods.
This material has tighter tolerances than standard 303 stainless steel. Rods are precision ground and held to a strict straightness tolerance, so they are ready for turning in a lathe.
Widely used for fabricating fittings and fasteners, 303 stainless steel machines quickly without sticking to cutting tools. It maintains its corrosion resistance in temperatures up to 1500° F.

Undersized Hardened Multipurpose M2 High-Speed Tool Steel Rods

Image of Product. Front orientation. Steel. Undersized Hardened Multipurpose M2 High-Speed Tool Steel Rods.
These rods, also known as drill blanks, have an undersized diameter for machining your own drill bits. They're hardened for increased abrasion and impact resistance. M2 tool steel offers a nice balance of wear resistance and machinability. It has a high molybdenum content, which allows it to maintain sharp cutting edges even at elevated temperatures.

Rope with Eye on Both Ends—Not for Lifting

Image of Product. Front orientation. Rope. Rope with Eye on Both Ends—Not for Lifting.
Rope has an eye on both ends to save time when attaching to tie downs and hooks. It knots easily and won’t rotate under load. Note: The safety factor for capacity is 12:1.
Polyethylene—Polyethylene rope is strong even when wet. Its performance is comparable to Spectra and Dyneema. It’s commonly used as a lightweight alternative to wire rope because of its excellent strength to weight ratio.

Use in noncritical applications, such as fencing, where the strength of a forged clamp is not required. Install clamps so the saddle is on the long (live) end and the U-bolt is on the short (dead) end. They’re also known as wire rope clips.
Warning: Test all assemblies for required strength before use. Do not use with coated rope unless the coating is removed.
Galvanized Iron—Galvanized iron clamps have a thicker coating than zinc-plated clamps for added corrosion resistance.
Zinc-Plated Iron—Zinc-plated iron clamps are mildly corrosion resistant.
