    Spline Opening

These versatile wrenches turn hex, 12-point, and spline fasteners. With more points of contact than 12-point openings, the spline-shaped box end gets a better grip on nuts and bolts and is less likely to round off corners. Rotate these wrenches without having to remove and reposition them. They're commonly used where you don't have enough space for full turns. To switch between loosening and tightening, flip them over.
Chrome-Plated Steel—The most popular finish, these wrenches won't rust or chip. Although they withstand moisture better than black oxide, they don't hold up to harsh chemicals as well as stainless steel.
Polished—The smooth surface is easy to wipe clean of grime. The mirror-like finish lends a high-end look to any toolkit.
