Squeeze these rings tight into grooves with your everyday pliers. To remove, squeeze the tabs on the opposite side of the opening. They won't form as tight of a hold as standard rings and are for one-time use only. Also known as X-washers.
18-8 Stainless Steel—The choice for wet and outdoor environments. These rings resist rust, but they aren't as strong as carbon steel.
Zinc-Plated 1008 Low-Carbon Steel—These rings are softer than most other steel types so they can be easily formed. They withstand occasional exposure to moisture.
