Also known as fab-lock fasteners, these rivets consist of a sleeved screw and a hex-washer head. They’re made of 18-8 stainless steel to resist corrosion in wet environments. When you turn the hex drive, the sleeve fans out against the back of your material to resist vibration, expansion, and contraction. Install these rivets into holes with a wrench and socket—you only need access to one side of the material.

Prying—Prying tools have a flat forked jaw that slides under the head of an installed rivet. Squeeze the handles to push the head up.
Gripping—Use gripping tools to grasp rivet heads around the sides when you can't slide under the rivet head.
Jaw Bend—Choose a tool with a jaw bend angle when you need to access a rivet around obstructions.

Steel Hex Head Screws for Blind Holes

    Installed View

Install these screws when you can only access one side of material. They're a higher-strength alternative to blind rivets. To install, hold the washer in place with a wrench, then use a hex socket to turn the screw. As the screw is tightened, the attached nut expands the sleeve to create a strong clamping force on the back of the material.
Head height does not include the washer. Length is measured from under the washer.
Medium-Strength Fastener—Your go-to screws for fastening most machinery and equipment. They have tensile strengths from 90,000 to 120,000 psi.
Zinc-Plated Steel—A common choice for areas with occasional exposure to moisture.
