Wire Rope Slings
These slings are more abrasion and cut resistant than web and round slings, yet lighter in weight than mesh and chain slings. They include a tag that shows capacities in each configuration.
Crimped eye slings are secured with a metal sleeve.
Woven eye slings have ends that are woven back into the sling, reducing the chance of the sling catching when lifting a load.
6 × 19 construction is more flexible than 7 × 7.
Stainless steel slings are corrosion resistant.

Note: Do not use multi-leg slings at an angle less than 30°.

Adjustable Rope Slings
Similar to a finger trap, the loop adjusts freely when loose and holds tight when tension is applied. Made of abrasion- and chemical-resistant Dyneema, these slings are a lightweight alternative to wire rope slings.
