Thermocouple and RTD Protection Tubes

Designed for use with thermocouples and RTDs in large, nonpressurized tanks, these protection tubes are available in long lengths at a lower cost than thermowells.

Steel—Steel protection tubes are more durable than ceramic protection tubes.

316 Stainless Steel—316 stainless steel protection tubes are more durable than ceramic protection tubes. They are extremely resistant to corrosive chemicals, and they can handle higher temperatures than steel protection tubes.

Ceramic—Ceramic protection tubes withstand temperatures nearly twice as high as 316 stainless steel protection tubes.

Threaded RTD Probes with Thermowell for Liquids and Gas

To protect against vibration and shock during temperature measurements, these RTD probes come with a thermowell. Made of stainless steel, it acts as a shield for added protection from corrosion in liquids and gases. The thermowell also lets you replace the probe sensor without stopping flow or draining your system. For accurate readings, a spring pushes the probe tip forward, keeping the tip in constant contact with the thermowell. Rated IP65 and NEMA 4, these probes seal out dust and water from washdowns. Remove the cap on the head to wire the probe’s terminal block to your application.
