Sawing Coolants for Aluminum and Copper


These sulfur-free coolants won’t react with or stain soft metal, such as aluminum or copper. Mix them with water to remove heat, prevent workpiece corrosion and distortion, and improve accuracy while cutting. Use them with power hacksaws, circular saws, and band saws. Made with semisynthetic oil, they are a mix of synthetic and mineral oil for added lubricity. They are chlorine free for use where chlorine waste disposal is a concern.

Dilute oil-based coolants with water for use in flood coolant systems. Synthetic-oil-based coolants dissipate heat rapidly in high-speed applications and are long lasting. They create a clear emulsion that won’t foam, so you can see your workpiece clearly. They resist misting for a cleaner workspace. Lubricants are sulfur free. Semisynthetic-oil-based coolants are a mix of mineral and synthetic oil for economical, long-lasting performance. They are sulfur free and are formulated for use with soft metal, such as aluminum and copper.

Milling, Drilling, and Turning Coolants for Misting Systems



Misting coolant dispensers (sold separately) use considerably less coolant than flood systems while still cooling intermittent machine cycles. Made of synthetic base oil, these coolants have excellent cooling properties to prolong tool life, are long lasting, and prevent corrosion. They inhibit bacteria growth to prevent foul odors. All are chlorine free, for use where chlorine waste disposal is a concern, and sulfur free. Dilute with water.
Kool Mist Formula 78 is for use with soft metal, such as aluminum and brass, or for short jobs with hard metal. Kool Mist Formula 77 has added lubricity for tougher jobs.
Trico Tri-Cool withstands high pressure for use with hard metal, such as stainless steel and titanium, but it can be used with soft metal.

Milling, Drilling, and Turning Coolants for Nearly Dry Machining

Apply these coolants to your cutting tools before and during milling and machining to reduce heat with very little cleanup. They are chlorine free, for use where chlorine waste disposal is a concern, and sulfur free. Use at full strength.
Remove oil-based coolants with alcohol, methyl ethyl ketone, or a parts washer.
Solid and Paste Milling, Drilling, and Turning Coolants


An alternative to nearly dry machining, apply these coolants to tools before milling and machining to reduce heat with minimal cleanup. They’re often used with shallow drilling, reaming, and tapping, as well as on saw blades. Remove from tools and work surfaces with alcohol, methyl ethyl ketone, or a parts washer. They are chlorine free, for use where chlorine waste disposal is a concern, and sulfur free. Use at full strength.
Coolant in a stick is solid. Touch it to cutting tools or work surfaces. Coolant in a jar is a paste. It can also be used as a bending and forming paste.
