    Keep food warm, speed up drying, or make chilly workstations comfortable. These bulbs radiate infrared heat that penetrates and warms the surfaces they shine on. The higher the wattage, the more warmth they give.
    Shatter-Resistant Plastic-Coated Glass Bulb—A plastic coating helps contain glass shards if the bulb breaks.
    BR40 Bulb Shape and R40 Bulb Shape—Cast a wide beam to warm large surfaces. They’re often used in hanging heat lamps and other large fixtures. These bulbs are made of blown glass.
    PAR38 Bulb Shape—A narrow beam focuses heat on a small area. These bulbs are made of thick, hardened glass for added durability.
