    Bosch Electric Rotary Hammers

    Style A

    Use the rotary-only mode for general purpose drilling and driving fasteners (requires a chuck adapter or a magnetic bit holder). In rotary-percussion mode, the tool provides both a rotary drilling and hammering action. In the percussion-only mode, the tool provides only the hammering action. Use this mode when working with chisels and other masonry tools (see Chisels for Rotary Hammers). All have a variable speed motor—the further you depress the trigger, the faster the drill rotates.
    For Spline Bit Shanks—Designed to drill larger holes than a SDS-Plus hammer, these models use spline-shank drill bits (see Spline-Shank Masonry Drill Bits and Spline-Shank Masonry Core Drill Bits). A powerful and durable hammer mechanism lets you drill deeper, larger holes in masonry and concrete in less time than with hammer drills.
    12 Chisel Lock Positions—A chisel lock allows you to choose from 12 or 36 chisel positions to match the angle of many surfaces.
    Built-In Safety Clutch—A built-in safety clutch protects you and the hammer if the bit gets stuck in your material.
    Vibration Reduction—These rotary hammers have a vibration reduction system for increased user comfort, provides smooth starts, and won't slow down as you drill deeper.
