    The plastic strapping in these kits is lighter, safer, and more flexible than metal strapping.
    Embossed Polypropylene—Embossed polypropylene strapping has a textured surface that grips loads and seals to reduce slipping.
    Woven Polyester Plastic—Woven polyester plastic strapping is shock resistant and elastic enough to flex with moving loads, making it less likely to cut into packages than embossed strapping. Cross threads keep it from tearing and fraying. The surface is uneven, so thickness is an estimate.

    Plastic Strapping

    Tie down pallet loads and seal packages and crates. This plastic strapping is lighter in weight and safer to cut under tension than metal strapping. If your shipment could be roughly handled, consider bonded, woven, or basket weave strapping.

    Smooth Strapping—Smooth is the most common texture. It returns to its original shape if stretched slightly. However, it may snap from sudden impact.
    Bonded Strapping—Bonded strapping resists snapping if struck suddenly, such as when two crates collide.
    Embossed Polypropylene—Polypropylene strapping is the standard choice. It won’t absorb water, so it keeps its shape and strength in damp environments. However, it loses tension over time.
    Polyester Plastic—Polyester plastic strapping is stronger than polypropylene strapping.
    Woven Polyester Plastic—Woven strapping has a cross thread to prevent tearing and fraying. It also resists snapping from sudden impact.

As your shipment is moved, this strapping won't stretch or break, keeping your items tightly bundled. A wax or oil coating makes tensioning smoother and prevents the strapping from getting caught around your material's corners. The edges on this strapping are smooth for safe handling.

    Solid Strapping

    Solid strapping is stronger than punched strapping.
    Painted Low-Carbon Steel—Low-carbon steel will work for most heavy loads that will be stored indoors.
    Painted High-Carbon Steel—High-carbon steel strapping is heat treated, making it our strongest and least likely to snap from sudden impact or jolts.
    302 Stainless Steel—302 stainless steel strapping is the most corrosion resistant, so it's best for shipments that will be left outdoors for extended periods.
