    Wall-Mount Motion-Sensing Light Controls

    Also known as occupancy sensors, these controls turn lights on when movement is detected and off when an area is empty. They fit standard wall plates. All have a manual time delay that will turn lights off after a set amount of inactivity.
    Controls with infrared sensors detect changes in heat and require a direct view of the occupants. Controls with infrared/ultrasonic sensors detect changes in heat as well as motion to minimize false activations. You can set them to use one or both detection methods to activate and keep lights on.

    Two-Hand Finger-Touch Safety Switches

    It takes two hands to activate these switches, minimizing the risk of accidental equipment start-up. They have an emergency stop push-button to immediately cut power. They’re rated IP65 for protection from low-pressure washdowns.
    Switches turn circuits on and off with a light touch, even when wearing gloves. An infrared sensor detects the lightest finger contact, and an indicator lights up to confirm when they are activated. Because they don't require you to press down a button to operate, they meet ANSI B11.TR1 standards to reduce hand, wrist, and arm fatigue. You'll need a relay or controller to complete your system—upgrade to a controller if you plan to operate additional devices beyond your switch.

    Washdown Wall-Mount Autotuning Temperature Controllers

    For protection in washdown conditions with splashing water, corrosive liquid, and dust, these controllers have a wall-mount housing that meets NEMA 4X. They’re ideal for systems with rapid, unpredictable, or complex temperature changes. They turn heating equipment on and off using a proportional-integral-derivative (PID) control algorithm to make fine adjustments, giving you the most precise and stable temperature control. All work similarly to proportional controllers but gather more variables to calculate the most effective way to return to the target temperature and avoid overshooting it. They also have fuzzy logic to learn your system's behavior and compensate as needed. Use the autotuning function to have the controller cycle and identify the ideal PID variables for your system. These controllers include a highly sensitive Type J thermocouple probe to take temperature readings in critical process applications. Since they reset automatically, they switch off and on again as the temperature fluctuates. Use the keypad to adjust the actuation point, reset point, and other settings.
    The controllers have mechanical relay outputs that actuate circuits directly. All are 3PST (triple pole, single throw) and turn three circuits from off to on (normally open). They also have two additional outputs to actuate alarms or other simple devices.

    Switch heaters on or off when your process reaches a certain temperature. Both these controllers and your heater will be powered by the same wall outlet. Place the probe into your process, plug the controller into an outlet, and plug your heater into the socket on the back of the controller’s plug. These simple temperature controllers deliver either full power or no power. They’re best used in systems where temperatures change slowly and you don’t need precise control.

    IP20 Enclosure Rating and NEMA 1 Enclosure Rating—IP20 and NEMA 1 rated controllers are best for indoor use. They keep dirt out and will stop objects about the size of a finger from coming into contact with a live circuit.
    IP66 Enclosure Rating and NEMA 4X Enclosure Rating—IP66 and NEMA 4X rated controllers seal out dirt, corrosive liquids, and water from high-pressure washdowns.

    Wall/Ceiling-Mount Motion-Sensing Light Controls

    Also known as occupancy sensors, these controls turn lights on when movement is detected and off when an area is unoccupied. The infrared/ultrasonic sensors minimize false activation by detecting heat and motion. They can be set so that only one or both detection methods are required to activate and hold lights on. All have a time delay to turn lights off after a set time. The mounting bracket swivels 90° so that the control can be mounted on a wall or ceiling.
