    Offset-Barrel Low-Profile Rectangular Weld Nuts

    Add permanent threads on corners and near edges. With a slim base and a short, offset barrel, these weld nuts fit in tight spaces such as channels and low-clearance areas.
    Steel—Best for dry environments since moisture will cause them to rust. Made of uncoated steel, these nuts require minimal prep. Weld them to uncoated steel surfaces.
    Zinc-Plated Steel—A step up from plain steel, these nuts withstand occasional exposure to moisture. Weld them to uncoated steel surfaces. If MIG or TIG welding, grind the zinc plating off the part of the nut you intend to weld.

    Create threads in hard-to-work areas—where you can’t reach the back of a workpiece, or material is too thin to be tapped. For a strong grip, these rivet-mount nuts have distorted threads that increase friction with bolts. Because they mount with two rivets, they won’t spin when you’re tightening screws. However, these nuts do move inside their retainers, which lets you install bolts at a slight angle; use them to align with off-center parts. All meet military guidelines for dimensions and material.
    A286 Stainless Steel—A286 stainless steel nuts are corrosion resistant.
    Cadmium-Plated Carbon Steel—Cadmium-plated nuts resist corrosion in industrial and saltwater environments, although will lose their corrosion resistance over 450° F. The cadmium plating also adds lubricity, making these nuts easy to install.
    Silver-Plated A286 Stainless Steel—Silver-plated stainless steel nuts withstand temperatures up to 800° F. The silver plating also adds lubricity and prevents seizing caused by friction between nuts and bolts.
    Lubricated—Lubricated nuts thread onto bolts smoothly.

    Add permanent threads to thin metal with our go-to weld nuts. Unlike press-fit and rivet nuts, these nuts fuse to the base metal, so they won’t twist and pull out. Three evenly spaced projections concentrate heat away from the threads to prevent them from deforming and create consistent welds. All have a collar pilot that guides the nut into the hole, holds it in place while welding, and protects the threads from weld spatter. You can also install them on thick pieces of metal.
