Toughened Epoxy Structural Adhesives

Toughened adhesives are blended with rubber particles for better impact resistance than standard epoxies. They form flexible, resilient bonds. The most weather- and chemical-resistant structural adhesives, epoxies work especially well on metals. Choose an adhesive that hardens quickly for fast repairs, or one that hardens slowly to allow more time for positioning.
The size listed is the combined total of the two parts. Use with a dispensing gun and mixer nozzle to simultaneously mix and dispense adhesives.
DP420NS, DP460NS, E-40HT, and 9462 are nonsagging, so they won't drip from vertical or overhead surfaces.

Silicone Sealants

Made from silicone, these sealants are RTV (room-temperature vulcanizing). They’re non-sagging, so they won't drip from vertical and overhead surfaces.
Elongation and joint compression/expansion tolerance indicate flexibility—the higher the values are, the more joint movement sealants can sustain. Sealants that are good for joining dissimilar materials also work well in environments with wide temperature fluctuation.

Structural Sealants

These structural sealants combine the mechanical strength of an adhesive with excellent sealing properties and high flexibility. They’re non-sagging, so they won't drip from vertical and overhead surfaces.
Elongation and joint compression/expansion tolerance indicate flexibility—the higher the values are, the more joint movement sealants can sustain. For joints between dissimilar materials and in environments with wide temperature fluctuation, choose a sealant with a higher elongation or joint compression/expansion tolerance. For high-wear applications, choose a harder sealant for the most abrasion resistance.

Non-Hardening Thread Sealants

Often used in high-vibration applications that could cause standard thread sealants to fail, these never fully harden and remain pliable enough to self-heal and stop leaks before they start. They have low locking strength, so they can be adjusted without tools.
Sealants that cannot be sold to the listed regions are restricted due to local VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) regulations.

Thread Sealants with PTFE

PTFE provides a slippery surface that keeps threads from binding. These sealants are anaerobic, so they don’t begin to harden until coated surfaces are threaded together, blocking exposure to air.
Sealants with low locking strength prevent threads from loosening due to vibration and can be adjusted without tools.
Sealants with medium locking strength prevent threads from loosening due to vibration and shock. They require a hand tool to unthread.
To adhere to safety standards for drinking water systems, use sealants that meet NSF/ANSI 61.

Drip-Free Thread Sealants with PTFE
Apply this thread sealant stick without a mess. It contains PTFE, which provides a slippery surface that keeps threads from binding. Since the sealant is anaerobic, it doesn’t begin to harden until coated surfaces are threaded together, blocking exposure to air. It has low locking strength, so it prevents threads from loosening due to vibration and can be adjusted without tools. It meets NSF/ANSI 61 for use with drinking water.
Certificates with a traceable lot number and product shelf life are available for these products. Download certificates from ORDER HISTORY after your order ships.

Non-Hardening Thread Sealants with PTFE

PTFE provides a slippery surface that keeps threads from binding. These sealants never fully harden, remaining pliable enough to self-heal and stop leaks before they start, so they’re often used in high-vibration applications that could cause standard thread sealants to fail. Since they have low locking strength, these sealants can be adjusted without tools.
VOC (volatile organic compounds) regulations restrict sales of sealants that cannot be sold to the listed jurisdictions/areas.

Water-Resistant Surface Fillers

Mix these two-part epoxy surface fillers to create a strong repair in wet environments or underwater. Use them to repair cracked, worn, and damaged surfaces. Size listed is the combined total of the two parts.
Putty fillers come in a stick with a resin on the outside and a hardener on the inside. Cut the desired amount from the sticks, knead to a uniform color to mix, and press into place.

Ready-to-Use Silicone Potting Compounds

No mixing required --these potting compounds come ready to apply. Use them to encase electronic assemblies for protection from dust, moisture, mechanical shock, and vibration. Softer and more flexible than epoxies and urethanes with the widest temperature range, silicone potting compounds are the best choice for high-temperature applications and electronics exposed to thermal cycling. They have good moisture resistance but poor chemical and abrasion resistance. Silicones provide excellent electrical insulation. They're also known as RTV (room-temperature vulcanizing).

Heavy Duty High-Purity Coatings for Electronics

This coating is formulated for use in sensitive applications such as manufacturing semiconductors. Thinner than potting compounds, the coating flows easily into small spaces between electrical components. Use it to secure and insulate hardware on printed circuit boards. Rigid and wear resistant, has excellent chemical and moisture resistance, withstands a wide range of temperatures, and provides excellent electrical insulation. It requires a gun and a mixer nozzle (each sold separately) to dispense.

High-Pressure Grease
This grease remains stable and in place under high pressure, heavy loads, and shock loads. It's often used for demanding mining, construction, and automotive applications.
NLGI viscosity grade is a rating of a grease's consistency. NLGI 2 is about the consistency of peanut butter.
Weld load measures a grease's ability to withstand pressure in kilograms of force (kgf). The higher the rating, the more pressure the grease can withstand. Synthetic-oil-based grease lasts longer than mineral-oil-based grease and generally withstands a wider range of temperatures. Grease with silica thickener has excellent heat resistance and good oxidation resistance. It also resists washing off and reduces corrosion in wet environments.
Grease that cannot be sold to California exceeds local regulatory limits on VOCs (volatile organic compounds).
Grease lubricates most efficiently within the listed temperature range. Melting temperature is the point at which grease will fail and run out of equipment, leaving it to run dry.

NLGI viscosity grade is a rating of a grease's consistency. NLGI 2 is about the consistency of peanut butter.
Grease that is NSF registered H1 and grease that meets FDA 21 CFR 178.3570 are rated for incidental contact with food. Synthetic-oil-based grease lasts longer than mineral-oil-based grease and generally withstands a wider range of temperatures.
