Cable Ties
Bundle and secure cable, wire, and hose. Also known as zip ties.
Standard ties balance flexibility and strength, making them good for most bundling applications.
Wide and extra-wide ties are stronger but less flexible than narrow and standard cable ties. Use them for heavy duty applications that require extra strength.
Ties that meet UL 94 V-2 stop burning within 30 seconds.

Reusable Cable Ties
Whether you plan to change the bundle size or need a temporary hold, these ties have a release tab for removal and reuse.
Push-release ties have a low profile but can be difficult to release. They're best when used for bundling cable against a hard surface, such as pipe, because the surface gives you support to push the tab in. To release, push the tab toward the head.
Squeeze-release ties are the easiest to release but take up the most space. The head sticks out, so you can use your fingers as support while pressing down the tab with your thumb. This easy release makes these ties a good choice when you have reduced dexterity, such as while wearing gloves or only using one hand.
Lift-release ties are more difficult to accidentally release but have the lowest profile. Use a tool, such as a small flat head screwdriver, to lift the tab and release these ties.
Ties with a tuck-back head have an additional slot to tuck the excess tail away. This means you don’t have to cut the tail, preventing sharp edges from nicking you.
Standard ties balance flexibility and strength, making them good for most bundling applications. Wide and extra-wide ties are stronger but less flexible than standard cable ties. Use them for heavy duty applications that require extra strength.

Padded Cable Ties
A foam padded back combined with an extra-wide body protects sensitive bundles, such as fiber optic cable.
Choose-a-Color Reusable Cable Ties
Use different colored ties to identify bundles at a glance. A release tab makes these ties easy to remove and use again. Since the head sticks out, you can squeeze the tab and pull to release with one hand, even while wearing gloves. Tuck the excess tail into the slot to avoid having to cut it, which can leave sharp edges that may nick you.

Metal-Detectable Reusable Cable Ties
Tuck-Back
Head
Bundle items in areas, such as food plants, where the detection and retrieval of dropped or broken ties is essential. Made of nylon plastic, these ties contain a compound that will set off metal detectors and X-ray equipment. They’re also bright blue, making them easy to spot. All of these ties are reusable and have a release tab for easy removal. The head sticks out, so you can squeeze the tab with one hand, even while wearing gloves, and pull to release. Instead of cutting the excess tail, which can cause sharp edges that may nick workers, simply tuck the tail into the slot on the ties.

Twist Ties
Bundle, close, and label bags and sacks.
Paper-covered ties are more flexible than plastic-covered ties. They’re often used in light duty applications such as securing food packaging.
Plastic-covered ties resist moisture better than paper-covered ties, and they last longer since they’re more durable. They’re often used in heavy duty applications such as bundling wire and cable.

Double-Loop Twist Ties
These ties have a loop on each end that can be twisted around each other for a secure closure.
PVC-coated steel ties reduce slipping. Black-oxide steel ties are easier to bend and work than galvanized steel. However, they don’t resist corrosion. Galvanized steel ties resist corrosion and are stronger than black-oxide steel. 304 stainless steel ties are more corrosion resistant than galvanized steel.

Rubber-Coated Wire Twist Ties
A hard rubber coating and wire core helps these ties maintain their shape. The rubber coating will not fray if nicked. It also creates friction, so you can grip and hold items in place when bundling.
Style C have an eye on one end that you can use to hang or cinch items.
Ties with end caps prevent the wire core from scratching items and keep the rubber coating intact.
